INTERNATIONAL FOLKLORE FESTIVAL BRNO 2025

The International Folklore Festival Brno has been held in the Moravian capital since 1990, once a year at the end of August and beginning of September. In 1995, the Brno International Folklore Festival began applying for inclusion among CIOFF® festivals, and after meeting the demanding criteria, it became a full member of the Czech National Section of CIOFF® in 1996.

Throughout the festival, there will be stage performances in the courtyard of the New Town Hall and on Freedom Square, a parade of folk costumes in the center of Brno, a meeting of folk musicians, and a three-day traditional fair on Freedom Square. In addition to ensembles from Brno, the festival will also feature ensembles from the Czech Republic and abroad. The festival is held under the auspices of the Governor of the South Moravian Region, Jan Grolich, and the Mayor of Brno, Markéta Vaňková.
